Work underway!

Work has been underway on our house for almost a week now.  There will be a break of a week while the environmental contractor is on a previously scheduled vacation.  In some areas, there has been less mold than feared.  In other areas, water damage and mold has been found where it wasn't expected to be.  But overall, it looks like there may not have to be as much destruction (and thus reconstruction) as we had feared.  Plus, this is PROGRESS!  We're  pleased with the progress and relieved that it may not be as bad as we'd been told - because this will, in the end, result in less expense to fix.  Thanks for all the positive thoughts you've sent our way!

Very pleased to hear that work is underway Jan, you must be so relieved!
I can't imagine how I would have coped with this 6 months saga.
I have just had my bathroom recently renovated which took 4 weeks and having no other bathroom or toilet in the house was in a bit of a delema, but I had a very kind neighbour offering me the use of his each day which I was very grateful.
There is now light at the end of the tunnel for you finally!
Take care
Peg

I am so glad to hear things are working out well for you, J. I am sure it is still trying at times, but at least there is forward motion, a stand still. Hope it continues positively.

It's good to hear there's been forward progress and that the project is moving along. Hopefully the week break will just be a minor issue. I'm still looking forward to that visit on your back patio!
